Making Eindhoven’s design DNA tangible

We’ve been working on something in secret (or rather: we haven’t shared it online): What if Lab: Marking Eindhoven Design District! Eindhoven Design District (EDD) has produced a distinctive marker to highlight and connect design hotspots in the city like the Trudo Tower and Clausplein. Serving as both a visual and functional guide in the public space, the marker should enhance visibility, provide more information on the designs, and integrate locations into cohesive routes.

This initiative aims to make Eindhoven’s diverse design offerings accessible and recognisable for both locals and visitors, celebrating Eindhoven’s design culture. But what should this marker look like? In a What if lab, Studio Tijs Guilty worked on designing this marker. Curious? Check out the video.

Eindhoven Design District is an initiative of Eindhoven Municipality, Dutch Design Foundation and Eindhoven365 to give design and technology in Eindhoven a bigger stage and encourage design thinking among companies and governments.
